Routes to CORGI Registration
Route One to becoming CORGI registered
Aimed At : Time Served Plumber/No Formal Qualifications
- Candidate must undertake assessment for suitability at The ReactFast Training Centre.
- If suitable, attend a 10 day intensive APL gas training course certified by Logic to build core gas safety competencies.
- Candidate works with CORGI registered installer to gain on-site experience and build portfolio of evidence.
- Candidate returns to the Training Centre to receive final assessment and is awarded APL Certification.
- Candidate undertakes 5 day specific initial training and assessment for ACS CCN1 - Core Gas Safety.
- Candidate undertakes 5 day specific initial training and assessment for other ACS elements/appliances.
- Candidate applies for CORGI registration

Route Two to becoming CORGI registered
Aimed At: Plumber with NVQ Level 2 Qualification
- Candidate has already achieved plumbing NVQ level 2, the candidate must undertake assessment for suitability at The ReactFast Training Centre.
- If suitable, the candidate attends a 10 day intensive APL course certified by Logic to build core gas safety competencies.
- Candidate works with CORGI registered installer to gain on-site experience and build portfolio of evidence.
- Candidate returns to the Training Centre to receive final assessment and is awarded APL Certification.
- Candidate undertakes 5 day specific initial training and assessment for ACS CCN1 - Core Gas Safety.
- Candidate undertakes 5 day specific initial training and assessment for other ACS elements/appliances.
- Candidate applies for CORGI registration

Route Three to becoming CORGI registered
Aimed At : New entrant into the industry
- Before being allowed to practice gas, the candidate must first prove competence in a related or mechanical services industry, i.e. plumbing.
- Candidate can either choose to complete plumbing NVQ level 2 or to follow the ReactFast Plumbing Training Programme.
- NVQ- If the candidate chooses to achieve an NVQ level 2, he/she is now able to follow Route 2 towards CORGI registration.
- If the candidate follows the ReactFast plumbing training programme, the candidate must practice as a plumber in the working environment for 12-18 months and build a portfolio of evidence to prove suitability for APL course.
- Candidate returns to the ReactFast Training Centre to be assessed for suitability for APL programme. He/she is now able to follow Route 1 towards CORGI registration.
