Traditionally training to become an electrician has only been available to 16-24 year olds through day release college courses and apprenticeships.
Therefore up and until a few years ago the only option available to mature electrical students (over 24years old) was to buy an electrical franchise.

What does the course cost include?
The cost of the course includes all certification and assessments fees for the 17th Edition and Full Scope Part P, a tool kit and megger tester worth £750 that is yours to use during training and to keep at the end of the electrical course; we will also provide work-wear although you must provide your own safety shoes for use in the workshop.

6 Week Electrical Course Programme
The Electrical Course covers all aspects of domestic electrical installations, fault finding and maintenance.
Our electrical course programme is split into two parts; theory training on the understanding of electrical installations for your 17th Edition Wiring Regulations award, and practical training to provide you with all your necessary hands on skills.
The electrical course will consist of six weeks intensive training, Monday - Friday. The course will start at 8.30am and finish at 5.00pm.

What does the Electrical Course cover?
The Electrical Training Course is aimed at persons who wish to become domestic electrical contractors/electricians covering the following types of work;
Carrying out new electrical installations from 17th Edition compliant consumer unit
- Install Ring Final Socket Circuit
- Chasing out walls for cable installation to include plaster to block finish and plaster board
- Making good to building finish standard
- Working out cable size and length to include voltage drop for new ring and radial circuits
- Install New lighting circuit
- Install two way light switching
- Install down lights
- Install electric cooker circuit
- Install showers circuit
- Forming a steel wired armoured SWA cable connection
- Completion of Part P Full Scope Level A award
- Completion of 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
Carrying out domestic electrical upgrades
