Training Course

Monday - Friday. Our locksmith course will start at 9.00am and finish at 4.30pm.

• Rim Cylinders – various techniques to pick, drill, slip, use letter box tool
• Euro Cylinders – various techniques will be shown, including pick, drill, snap slip, air wedge, fit lock and lock knowledge
• Mortice Locks – 2, 3 and 5 lever locks, picking and drill point points
• Aluminium Doors – Adams Multi locks systems
• Composite Doors – techniques for picking, drilling, faulty mechanisms
• UPVC Doors – euro barrels, letter box opening tools, lost keys, dropped doors
• Sash Jammer’s – product knowledge, different types, time and place to use
• Adjusting Lock Mechanisms and Gear Mechanisms
• UPVC Jammed Door techniques
• Wooden Doors with Euro/ Oval Cylinder set into Mortice cases
• Gaining access to security escutcheons
• Sliding Patio Doors – Metal and UPVC - access, drilling, lifting, product knowledge
• Knowledge of the Scandinavian Wooden Sliding Doors
• Digi Locks – Low and High security product knowledge, resetting codes
• Roller Shutters
• Garage Door Locks and Out building/Shed security options
• Window Locks
• Domestic Safes – basic techniques, picking and lock bypass
• Fitting locks from scratch – Deadlock, Mortice, sash lock and Digi locks
• Removal of Euro multi point mechanisms – reassembling as well as dismantling

All trainees leave the locksmith course with the ‘ReactFast Lock Opening Manual’ which details information on how each lock operates and how it should be picked, decoded or drilled.

The course is designed to cover almost any domestic boarding and glazing situation, and with a maximum of six people on each course, you can be assured of receiving a high ratio of trainer to student tuition.

By the end of the course you will be able to carry out the majority of boarding and glazing work you will face in the field.
