The changes to Part L of the Building Regulations, which came into effect in April 2005, meant that gas boilers fitted in both new and existing dwellings should be high efficiency condensing boilers. They should be installed by a 'competent person' registered with a regulatory body or signed off by the building control department of the local authority. |
